During classes with student Victoria Sofía Manosalva, I can see the progress she has made in comprehension, writing and dialogue in English. In turn, she has shown great interest in learning English. From the classes, when we have the opportunity to speak in the room, I show him that it is a necessary language for life and for the future works that he may carry out. Hello! we are Pablo Manuel Flores and Michell Andrade Gonzales, and this is the report and reflection of the first model class of the third period, executed on June 5, 2020.This experience was planned and executed in English by us teachers in training, for our neighbors, Angel Mauricio Duque, he is ten years old and a student at Sta Teresita School and Sheila Shaillana Oviedo Ladino, she is ten years old and is a student at the Cristo Rey School. We learned about the planet and its characteristics in English. We had a very fun pedagogical experience, because we used very good and innovative didactic strategies

Then, a video about the planet and its characteristics was observed, then, what was observed was socialized, through some questions. Then we socialized through dialogue, the name and pronunciation of these characteristics in English, Then the children wrote in their notebook the previously reviewed vocabulary, we pronounce it and with our orientation the children created sentences in English. Then, a test was developed, in which they had to fill in the blanks and match the sentences with the corresponding images, answering in English and Spanish. To finish, we played a children's round to strengthen previously acquired learning
For the planning and execution of this model class of English, we rely on the contributions of Ludwig Wittgensteiniana, who proposes that language is a linguistic activity and game, and his main affirmation is that "word is its use in language". it is a model of effectiveness and mastery learning. ResponderEliminarThis is the report and reflection of the second model class that was planned and executed on June 9, 2020 oriented by us the training teachers Michell Andrade and Pablo Manuel Flores and directed towards Sheila Oviedo and Mauricio Duque the same children with whom we have been working. The central theme of this pedagogical experience was living and non living in English taking into account their characteristics and in the same way classifying them through pedagogical play activities which allowed us to show that children were able to learn while having fun.
ResponderEliminarin our first activity we greeted the children and thanked God for all their blessings praying our father, then by means of slides we were able to know the concept and some characteristics and examples about living and non living things, after this a video was observed in which those characteristics were presented, then socialized on this mentioning some living and non living things that we perceived in the projector , then the children made a comparative chart in the notebook for order the object, animal or person were in the flashcards as corresponded including a good pronunciation and perfecting the writing of these elements in English.
On this occasion we wanted to add a board game called the “culebrita” where the children were placed in the box according to the number that appeared in the dice and mentioned in English what appeared in the box and if this was a living thing or not living thing, the one who first reached the finish line and if any responded wrong would returned to the previous box. It should be noted that in this part the children responded correctly to the classification of the images. Finally, a guide was developed where children had to name each image that appeared in the box and find those names in the word soup by and circling with corresponding color to the instruction.
For this model class, we orient ourselves with some contributions made by Rebecca Oxford who argues that the use of learning strategies plays a fundamental role in the process of acquiring a foreign language. This importance is based on the perception of the student as an active and important agent to achieve meaningful learning. Therefore, the strategies favor the education with a series of specific techniques and procedures that facilitate the acquisition of knowledge, attitudes and skills
By finishing the activity we were able to conclude that Sheilla and Mauritius had an excellent performance, in this time we used strategies such as the use of images, videos, flashcards, games and puzzles making to striking pedagogical meeting and encouraging in them interest in learning English, in addition to that we obtained good results in different aspects such as cognitively, a good pronunciation and appropriation of the subject that was being made known. which was evident in the final test (examination). In addition to mentioning that this was a very enriching experience for our knowledge as future teachers, knowing new playful strategies for the teaching of foreign languages.

This second third pedagogical experience was very pleasant, since I saw that the girls were very animated and the subject is a little clear, always showing a positive attitude towards the experiences. we color and sing with great joy enjoying every moment that happened, when we played the circus they laughed a lot and it was quite noticeable that it was a super good strategy to work in the pedagogical practices. I am very excited to be a counselor for the girls since they have never studied and are learning basic elements of English and it makes me very happy. Below we have the report and reflection of model class third which was planned and executed on June 15, 2020 led by Pablo Flores and Michell Andrade, teachers in training and directed to Sheila and Mauricio, this time the central theme was about the daily routines in English, also taking into account the opinions of the children about their daily life and respectively sentences were formed following the examples proposed by the teachers.
As a first activity we performed our father's prayer, thanking God for all his blessings, then a video was observed about a vocabulary or phrases the actions that a person daily does in his daily life, then, after this we did a socialization of the video and the children expressed that it was what they liked and what they didn't like.
Then another audio-visual material was observed, but this time from a conversation between two people who talked that activities had done during the day. We then wrote in the notebook a vocabulary, bearing in mind the activities that were observed in the two previously observed videos. Then we wrote a few questions that with the help of the teachers we would get answering these, including also a good pronunciation. We continued with the pedagogical experience and to finish a guide was developed in which the children had to relate the sentences to the image as appropriate, the result of activity was very satisfactory because the children developed it correctly.
Later and as a playful activity the children had to respond verbally, mentioning in English the gesture that towards the teacher through mimicry or using only body expressions. (total physical response).
For this model class we took bearing in mind the pedagogue Daniel Goleman who proposes that intelligence beyond cognitive aspects, such as memory and the ability to solve problems and that We need to see the importance of feeling good about ourselves and others, how in my daily routines I can effectively connect and empathy to others by establishing good communication or what activities could add to my daily life to feel comfortable with what I do or perhaps acquiring self-motivation through these activities.
The reflection is to help children understand and enrich foreign language a little more in a playful, fun and knowledge way that they have already acquired in their travel of life and through this activity and the previous ones We have seen progress in each of them and ours, by strengthening our skills as educators , in personally and spiritually we feel very good as teachers for being able to contribute to their learning process.

THE PLANET
ResponderEliminarThis fourth pedagogical experience has been one of the most complicated, since the girls were very discouraged due to problems at home in the economy and could not easily concentrate or learn the continents and oceans of the planet. But even so, I showed my best energy and, together with the strategies to encourage them and let them know that studying is one of the most necessary tools to improve and what I like most of all this is that I not only teach them English, but also the value of being someone in life and improvement. I hope that in the future they will be able to appreciate the words that I give them every time they come to my house and understand that they have to fight for what they want and be professionals. I feel super motivated and I will continue teaching the girls so that every day they can improve. Today's strategies worked a lot and I was able to capture their attention, although today they were not very happy but little by little I was motivating them and so I was able to work with them.

ResponderEliminarOn that beautiful Tuesday morning, we started very early, presenting to God, thank you for your blessings and allowing us to live another day of life, to help us improve our learning. We read a story about a girl want to know the beach, we talked about the beach, story what we read and that happened in it, up next we watch the video of "Theo and her vacation" , at the end of the video, we asked Mauritius that he saw in the video, which happened. This in order for our student to guess the topic we would be working on that day. Then we ask him what he likes most about vacationing, with his answers, we maked a vocabulary of words about elements that we can find on the beach, first in Spanish and then translate them into English.
Then, with these words we create sentences in Spanish to translate them into English. We finish our pedagogical meeting develops a tab for name when the elements that appeared in it and color them. This was an experience full of challenges, because there was no available in the usual place, and we outside that go out to a place where the vehicular traffic affected us the sound of the video, and in some cases it distracted us both as teachers, of course and by the student, but every challenge is a possibility to learn, at the end of the day the day child understood the importance of waiting the time for what to love. , and recognized the elements and characteristics of the holidays and the beach.

ResponderEliminarIt was a expectacular experience because i was to do very interesting and funn activities whit my little sofi initally i could use an interesting resoursefor introduce my class, it´s was a documentary of netflix known “absurd planet” .sofi and me were many excited since we could see different and curiousaspects about our planet from the point view of the mother nature.
And then, we did other funny activities for kids, for example an art creation in the style of "art attack" using recycling materials, this way i could to work about the importance of recycling for the walfore of the our home: ”our planet”. also, we were learn the cardinals points, it´s is very important because like this the children will can be located at the space.
But, alsoi had some difficulties. one of them was when the girl did questions about unknown things so i did not know the answers in english.
Equally, the class time was insufficient, in can see quently, it was neccesary to develop the didactic sequence in two parts also, the day was rainy and my little student coud´t lisent clearly.
Finaly, i am applying the jim trelease teory about reading modeler aloud, so my student lisent to me and she try and recognize word and expresionts.

ResponderEliminarThis experience we had fun, it was a little more dynamic in the way that it learned to describe different situations in our daily life that learned something significant with music through videos. What I did not like and I say that it does not work is that the child has not worked on this topic was very complicated when it comes to making the sentences, but regardless of the time I spent more time explaining that point to him a little more time. We worked on a worksheet in which he could work on simple writing and numbers since the mother asked for it as reinforcement. In the student's institution, the discipline of English is not so advanced, it sees what is most common or arguably essential for them. highlight the intelligence and motivation of these children, they were happy to be able to
work with me. I am happy to see them pleased, and that they have obtained new
vocabularies that will serve them for their lives.
To
finish, I want to conclude my reflection, which remains for me to teach that these
experiences are of vital importance for our performance to recognize what we failed in and
thus be able to change and improve that. That is my challenge to continue improving each

This new experience, helped me to reflect about the importance of a new language, currently there are very few children who pronounce English well, therefore, motivates me as a teacher to continue training in this area, to provide better learning to my future students.

REFLECTION ON THE PEDAGOGICAL EXPERIENCE
ResponderEliminarHaving developed this exercise allowed us to make a much deeper and introspective reflection on our teaching practice and with this, to be able to enrich it in the future and look for new methods or simply put into practice those that I have already internalized. Two aspects that we found within my practice were that interest and motivation go hand in hand. That teaching and learning are increasingly thought around the idea of motivation, in order to motivate students to learn. The attitude of the students also depends on the way in which the teachers act in the classroom and around the activities that are carried out.
Throughout the development of the class, we did not observe any shortcomings, on the contrary, the children were attentive, participative, collaborative and concentrated in each explanation and activity, the atmosphere inside the classroom propitiated by each one of us allowed the concentration to be maintained; within the attitudes of the boys and girls we want to emphasize their companionship and good treatment with each other.
We must reveal that at the beginning of the activity we were nervous, since, although we had planned and practiced beforehand how the class would be carried out, facing the challenge of dictating a large part of the class in English frightened us a little, that the pronunciation would not be adequate, that the children would not be interested or concerned about the use of another language, but confidence took over and allowed us to finish the day with success and satisfaction.
